Replica of mask found in the Temple of the Inscriptions, in Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico. It was part of the burial items in King Pakal's tomb. The mask is made of fragments assembled like a mosaic, representing the face of an elder, with large, deep eyes, a wide, prominent nose, and thin, slightly open lips.
