This piece is inspired by the jaguar, a mystical animal and guardian of the underworld. Jaguars have a deep symbolism in Maya culture, and were considered sacred.

José was born in San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico. He is a sculptor and carver of different materials such as amber, jade, wood among others. He has participated in several events such as the ExpoÁmbar event in Mexico, where he has been awarded.
